Art is such an integral part of our NWT culture, there is always something happening around this vast territory. Residents of the NWT are greatly influenced by its seasons. Spring is the time for festivals and gatherings as the warmer weather returns with the daylight; summer is the time to learn new techniques and collect raw materials from the land; fall brings Christmas arts and fine crafts sales; and winter is a time to create art and visit with friends and family.

Date: Community: Yellowknife Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre Author Helena Katz has a visual impairment but embraces life as though someone left the gate open. The launch of her latest book delves into the question of "Where is home" as she leaves a trendy Montreal neighbourhood for life on an alpaca farm in Fort Smith, NWT.
