Artist Opportunities

The NWT Arts Program continues to create new opportunities for artists to show and sell their work directly to consumers, as well as network with potential future clients, collaborators, and supporters. 

As opportunities are identified, the calls for artists will be posted on this page. These opportunities may include activities such as markets and cultural events, inside and outside the NWT. If artists can apply for funding to participate in the opportunity, it will be clearly noted in the call. The deadline for applications will also be noted in each call. 

Yellowknife Direct Charge Coop, in partnership with NWT Arts, is excited to offer "NWT Arts Artist Showcase" opportunities for Yellowknife artists who are looking for a place to sell their work in person direct to customers. Artists must be registered with the NWT Arts Program to book a table, which is reserved on a first-come, first-booked basis. There is no cost to participate in this opportunity. The CARFAC-RAAV Fee Schedule is an important tool for visual artists. It sets minimum recommended rates for the use of artwork and certain services that visual artists provide. On Wednesday, October 16, from 12-1pm, CARFAC's National Executive Director, April Britski, will host a workshop to help NWT artists better understand the CARFAC-RAAV Fee Schedule.
