Larone Lafferty

Larone Lafferty takes pride in his Dene/Métis heritage as an inspiring northern artist in Canada’s Northwest Territories. He was born and raised in the north and currently resides in Hay River, Northwest Territories. Larone started drawing, painting and wood carving at a young age working with mainly acrylic paints. Larone is intrigued by nature and gets his inspiration from the northern skies and landscapes. His success includes creating a logo design for the West Point First Nation and the Fort Nelson Aboriginal Friendship Society.
Larone finds his greatest inspiration in the morning and evening skis of the north. He quotes, “I want the viewers to experience the peace and tranquility of the north.”
