Cynthia Levy

Artist Bio:

Although originally from Nova Scotia, I have lived and worked in Yellowknife since 1999.  I've been fortunate to travel extensively throughout both the Northwest Territories and Nunavut and am constantly inspired by our vast northern wilderness.

Knitting and pattern design are my primary disciplines, although I also work in other art forms, including weaving and pottery.  I learned to knit at a very young age and, aside from some early guidance from my paternal grandmother, am largely self-taught.

My self-published knitting patterns are available online through my website.  Designs include socks, mittens, fingerless gloves, hats and headgear, scarves, ornaments and miscellaneous items.
