Artist Bio
My name is Renee Preston. I am a Métis artist originally from the beautiful Memramcook Valley in New Brunswick, known as the Land of the Crooked River. I now call Hay River, Northwest Territories, home, where I help bring collaborate programming through partnerships in our community and creative opportunities to local residents.
Throughout the years, I have used art as a way to connect, heal, and inspire. I have supported community fundraisers through my artwork, helped Indigenous individuals recreate cherished memories through custom paintings, and worked with cancer patients by creating an avenue of escape, comfort, and self-expression through art.
I believe art has the power to tell stories, preserve memories, and bring hope. Whether I am painting, teaching, or collaborating with my community, my goal and legacy is to create meaningful experiences that connect people and celebrate resilience.
