Hi there! My name is Enika. I was born and raised in Yellowknife, where I continue to live and create. I am proud of my Filipino heritage and the values passed down to me by my parents, who I owe everything to. Growing up in the North, I was and still am surrounded by a close community and friends who have become family. 

Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child, I loved fingerpainting, drawing, colouring, and even writing short stories. I loved anything that allowed me to create. For many years, I made art quietly as a personal hobby, but I was encouraged by my creative friends who openly share their work. They inspired me to begin sharing my own. 

I started painting more seriously with acrylics, and over time I've expanded into oil pastels, and watercolour, which has become my current focus. I recently launched an Instagram page dedicated to my artwork, and I'm excited to continue growing. I enjoy learning from other artists, creating meaningful pieces, and eventually I hope to start participating in local markets. My dream is to see my art move from my hobby room into other people's living spaces. 

I like painting landscapes, animals, pet portraits, and places that evoke a sense of connection and/or emotion.
