NWT Arts Content Collection Project
This ongoing project is an opportunity registered artists to have content collected about them and their artwork. In this case, content means photographs and a video or audio interview.
Participating in the Content Collection Project does not mean the NWT Arts Program or the GNWT owns copyright of your work. The content that is collected by the NWT Arts Program will be supplied to you on a USB stick for you to use in your own marketing. You do not need to have a public profile on the NWT Arts website, and there is no cost to participate in this opportunity.
The first time you participate, you will need to fill out a release form, which confirms how these images can be used by the NWT Arts Program. If you allow the NWT Arts Program to use photos of you or your artwork in the general promotion of NWT arts, you will always be identified as the artist of your artwork.
This project also includes an interview that will be video or audio recorded. This interview is used to write a professional story about you as an artist and what inspires you to create your artwork. If you permit, the video or audio recording will be archived and may be used for future project. If the NWT Arts Program wishes to use the clip from your video or audio recording for a specific project, you will be asked in advance for permission.
Artists that participate in the Content Collection Project and allow the NWT Arts Program to use these images and story in the general promotion of arts will be featured on the main page of the website. Artist profiles are atomically selected at random and continually rotate in this homepage banner. These images will be paired with the story that has been written about you from your interview. If you choose it upload clips from your video or audio interview, you can do so when you are logged into your profile.
Regional ITI offices have the proper equipment and training to collect this content from you. Please contact your local ITI office for more information or to book a session. You can bring in new artwork to be photographed as often as you want. Interviews are only permitted once per artist, however you can make updates to your story anytime by emailing nwtarts@gov.nt.ca
