Stella was born in Fort Good Hope, Northwest Territories, and later resided in Délı̨nę. While she focused primarily on beadwork, she was skilled in many art forms, including embroidery, traditional clothing, jewelry, drawing, and quilting. She was both an emerging and full-time artist who had been taught by her mother, and she created art for over 60 years.

Her artwork could be found in various locations throughout Délı̨nę, and she often shared and sold her work directly to others. Through her dedication and creativity, Stella’s contributions to the arts and her community continue to be remembered and appreciated.
