Artist Story
Seth Harker is a Yellowknife-based photographer and videographer with a passion for capturing the people, landscapes, and stories that make the Northwest Territories unique. A graduate of the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Management, Seth combines creativity with a strong understanding of communication and storytelling.
Through photography and video, he focuses on documenting community events, local businesses, public initiatives, and the natural beauty of the North. His work aims to create authentic visual stories that connect audiences to the people and places behind them.
Drawing inspiration from the resilience, diversity, and spirit of northern communities, Seth is committed to producing high-quality visual content that celebrates life in the Northwest Territories while helping organizations, businesses, and individuals share their stories with impact.
Artist Bio
Being born and raised in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, the beauty of the North and the people around me inspired me to pick up a camera for the first time many years ago.
While pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in General Management, my marketing classes, along with my experience as a volunteer photographer for Folk on the Rocks, being a podcast photographer and editor, helped develop my passion and love for capturing moments and telling stories through photography.
To date, I’ve had the opportunity to work with Spectacular NWT, Uleth Wildin’, Folk On The Rocks, and a variety of unique northern identities. Each experience has helped shape my approach to photography/videography and continues to push me to capture the people, places, and moments that make the North so special.
