Denise Manual lived her entire life in Fort Good Hope, Northwest Territories. Encouraged by her elders and taught by her grandparents, she developed a deep connection to traditional arts from an early age. Over more than 50 years, she created fine traditional crafts that reflected her knowledge, skill, and cultural teachings.

Her work stands as a testament to her dedication and the traditions she carried forward, and it continues to be remembered and appreciated.
