Norman Wells Historical Centre
Story/Description
Norman Wells Historical Centre (1989) portrays the history of the construction of the Canol Pipeline, geology, bush aviation, Mackenzie riverboats and Sahtu Dene culture. The Centre hosts an annual arts exhibition and its Great Bear Gallery gift shop features traditional Dene craft items, and local artwork. Please come in and browse at no cost.
We are a distributor of fur from the Fur and Hide Program of the Department of ITI, GNWT. This includes furs such as: beaver, seal, cross fox and white fox.
