Deline Sewing Group

Story/Description
The Déline Sewing Group is a group of women who gather together twice a week to work on their traditional fine crafts together. The group ranges in age therefore allowing for a transfer of knowledge, experience and different sewing styles to younger generations, and to enhance and contribute new ideas and technique to each woman’s work. It is also an opportunity for storytelling and to help strength the use of their traditional Dene language. This group of women also represent each other and will often refer customers to specific women in the group who are strong in the creation of that particular item.
