YK ARCC presents: Neil Dyck - Artist in Residence

 

Through the support of the NWT Arts Council the Yellowknife Artist-Run Community Centre will welcome painter Neil Dyck for a two weeks residency starting Tuesday, February 16th, 2016.

Neil Dyck is a Manitoban artists that works intuitively on hard board to create non-representational paintings, Dyck's rudimental investifations embrace a harmony of collage an painting. Dyck's works are oranic in their constructuion and explore fundamental ideas taken from nature and life around him. Dyck has exhbited across Canada, including the Toronto Internation Art Fair, and was awarded the Heinz Jordan Prize in Painting in 2004 and 2005. Dyck currently lives and works in Sanford, MB.

Northerners are welcome to meet with the artist Tuesday February 16 at 6 PM. The final work produced by the artist during his residency in Yellowknife will be exhibited and sold at a vernissage Friday, February 26 from 6 to 9 PM.

Neil Dyck will also offer a Master Class to a maximum of 8 local painters on Saturday February 20. Interested artists should contact YK ARCC by e-mail at ykarcc@gmail.com.
