Call for Entries: ON PAPER Print Making Contest
RULES | On Paper Contest
ON PAPER presents its 2nd printmaking contest to promote the art of printmaking, as well as the connection between printmakers around the world.
The SHORTLISTED artists will be exhibited in Trongate 103, Glasgow, UK
DEADLINE April 1st 2016
The contest is open to anyone.
Each artist can submit one piece of work on a paper size of 300mm x 400mm. The print size can be any within the size of the paper. The work must have been made using any traditional printmaking techniques, including screenprinting, lithography, etching, collagraph, monotipe, electro-etching, photopolymer… However, digital prints are not accepted.
The work must be relatively new, completed in the last couple of years, not before, and not have received a prize before.
The shortlisted artists will have their work shown in the foyer-space of 103 Trongate (Glasgow, UK), in association with The Glasgow Print Studio, in August 2016.
An international jury will vote to select the shortlisted artists; the winner will be the artist with the most votes. There will be one award of 1000€ for the winning artist.
Submission to the contest has a fee of 25€, payable via paypal. All artists who submit work to the contest will be shown on the website, onpapercontest.com, in the ‘PARTICIPANTS’ section for a minimun of one year. Moreover, the shortlisted artists will be shown on onpapercontest.com in the ‘SHORTLISTED 2016’ section and will also be shared on ON PAPER’s social media.
As an agreement with the UB (Universitat de Barcelona), students from the ‘Facultat de Belles Arts de Barcelona’ are welcome to participate at no cost. More information at email@example.com
