Applications now open for the Indigenous Filmmaker Fellowship

The WFF Indigenous Filmmaker Fellowship (IFF) aims to enhance the project development for emerging Indigenous Canadian content creators with short film content, webisode projects or pilots for episodics still in the script stage. Fellows will receive feedback on their scripts and projects as well as guidance on development opportunities from established content creators, producers and industry professionals. A facilitator will provide a high level of strategic advice and mentorship.

Up to six Indigenous creators will be chosen through an application process where a selection committee consisting of industry professionals will vet the applications and shortlist candidates for interviews before making final decisions. Short content in all genres can be submitted for consideration. Writers/content creators must be Canadian citizens and of Indigenous descent. All rights remain with the filmmakers.
