The Yellowknife Farmers Market is currently looking for vendors for the 2019 summer season. The market runs from June to September on Tuesdays from 5:15-7:15 at Somba K'e Park. It is a great way to try managing your own business as you will receive lots of support from YKFM and more experienced vendors.  In 2019, vendors  can choose to sell for 1, 2, 3,4, 6, 8, 12 or 16 weeks.

NWT youth are invited to submit fiction or non-fiction pieces of up to 1,000 words to the NorthWords Youth Writers Contest.

 

Youth must been between the ages of 13 and 17 as of July 2019. The winner will be flown to Calgary this summer for a week-long YouthWrite camp and the winning story will be printed in EdgeYK.

 

Each NWT school may also select five entrants and submit their pieces to info@northwordsnwt.ca. The deadline for submissions in March 30.

Launched in Summer 2018, The Do Good Residency is an artist-in-residence program located at Upstreet Craft Brewing’s warehouse in Charlottetown, PEI.
