Aurora Photography with Bill Braden: This workshop will get you started to make your own amazing aurora images.
This workshop will get you started to make your own amazing aurora images! We'll begin with a short, indoor "classroom" technical review of camera and lens settings (location to be announced), then meet at a shoreline location on Yellowknife Bay for some hands-on, real time shooting. We'll explore composition and light-painting too. Equipment: a sturdy tripod; a digital camera capable of a basic range of shutter, lens and focus adjustments; your widest-angle lens (at least 28 mm); a headlamp or small flashlight. Dress for cool weather: warm boots, layers, gloves and hat. Please register before September 11 - limit of 10 participants, first come first serve. Any questions? Call Bill at 867 445 8953.
In light of the current health situation we will be providing some protections (masks & hand sanitizer); alternatively, you can bring your own protective items if you are more comfortable doing that. We will practice social distancing whenever possible so please expect to follow the NT Covid-19 guidelines, thank you.
