Leanne Goose
Leanne Goose is from Canada's Western Arctic town of Inuvik, Northwest Territories. Leanne’s passion for the arts drives her creativity. She is a MacEwan University Alunmi and studied Professional Communication as well as Arts and Cultural Management that compliments her lifelong dedication to performance, music, art and culture. Leanne is a multi-nominated singer song writer, musician, producer and storyteller.
Leanne’s drive is influenced by her western arctic cultures of the Inuvialuit and Sahtu Dene people. She grew up in a traditional Inuvialuit home as a child, until she began playing music with her father. Leanne learned to manage the band on and off stage. Today she is a dedicated advocate, working with many artists and organizations such as: The Northern Arts and Cultural Centre as director, served as Director for Music NWT, President, End of the Road Music Festival, and currently in various arts and cultural organizations, committees.
