Lana was born and raised in Yellowknife, NWT. After a fox stole her Mukluk while skating on a pond behind her home, Lana was inspired to turn her hilariously relatable story into a northern children's picture book, The Fox and My Boot. Lana partnered with local artist, Janet Pacey, to bring her story to life. The book was created in response to the need for relatable northern children's literature to strengthen sense of place in the children of Canada's Northwest Territories.
