Originally from Vancouver, BC, Jason's photography thrived after moving to Yellowknife. His job as a pilot grants photo opportunities in many communities and remote corners of the north. His work includes landscapes, wildlife, aurora, and aerial shots. But where Jason's work has truly excelled is photographing aviation in the north. His shots connect this vital transportation link to the beautiful, vast, and often harsh conditions they operate in. It was some of his iconic "floatplane under the aurora" shots that gained him Internaional recognition through Aviation Week and Space Technology Magazine's annual photo contest. He won 1st and 2nd place in the Commercial category in 2008, and "Best of the Best" in 2011. Jason has also been published in numerous magazines, including: Up Here Business, Air International, Airports of the World, and Flyer. He is a regular contributor to Canadian Skies magazine, and is featured in the coffee-table book titled, "Buffalo Airways - Home of the Ice Pilots."
