Artist Bio:

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work on a wide range of creative projects that blend traditional techniques with modern esthetics, resulting in unique pieces that tell a story of both heritage and innovation. My work spans various mediums, with each project reflecting a commitment to craftsmanship and artistic expression.

One of my primary focuses has been beading, where I precisely craft earrings and wristbands. These pieces are designed using intricate beadwork that combines vibrant colors and geometric patterns, drawing inspiration from traditional patterns but reimagined in a modern style. The attention to detail in each piece ensures that they are not only accessories but wearable works of art.

In addition to beading, I have enhanced the craft of creating traditional moosehide moccasins. These moccasins are carefully hand-stitched and crafted from soft, durable moosehide, a material that connects me to my cultural roots. The moccasins I create honor this ancient tradition while incorporating subtle modern elements that make them both timeless and relevant to today's fashion.

Another technique I’ve embraced is caribou tufting, a unique and intricate method of working with natural fibers to create textured designs. This technique adds depth and richness to my projects, allowing me to create one-of-a-kind textile pieces that are both functional and visually striking.

My work also includes designing beaded patches for crossbody bags, where I blend practicality with creativity. These patches are crafted with a focus on both functionality and resilience, while each design captures my modern, artistic vision. By incorporating traditional beading techniques alongside modern materials, I create patches that elevate the bags, making them both stylish and practical.

Throughout all of these projects, I continue to push the boundaries of my creativity, constantly experimenting with new materials, techniques, and designs. The result is a diverse collection of handcrafted pieces that honor traditional artistry while embracing the innovation of modern design. Every piece I create is a reflection of my journey, blending the old with the new, and celebrating my unique artistic voice.
