Artist Bio:

My passion for art began since I was in grade school all the way through high school. I took a few art courses and a photography course during my high school days. In addition I also took  private lessons in painting outside of high school for about a year and learned some great skills during that time. There was a big period after high school where I did not continue and just got caught up with other different activities and work. I moved to Hay River in March of 2015 and ever since that I fell in love with the northern landscapes, especially the northern lights. My first year in Hay River I met different artists and some amazing photographers and that really inspired me to get back into the arts and photography. Gradually I have invested in different art materials and photography gear and have been practicing as much as I can.

I paint with acrylics on canvas and enjoy painting all the wonderful landscapes/wildlife around the Northwest Territories. For photography I enjoy taking pictures of landscapes/wildlife and my favorite is taking pictures of the northern lights.

I have featured my artwork and photography prints during the arctic winter games and some local arts and crafts events in town. Also I have different art pieces on display for sale at the Hay River Visitor Centre.

As a new artist on the scene in the NWT, I am looking forward to attending and displaying my artwork in different future art events around the north and continually improving my craft.
