NWT Artist Resources
The Northwest Territories (NWT) Arts and Fine Crafts Website and database will
provide members of the NWT’s arts community with the capability and opportunity
to better showcase their products to national and international markets.
The database and corresponding Web pages will also serve to connect members of
the NWT arts community with each other. The database includes online listings,
services and programs available to artists, organizations, societies,
retailers, wholesalers and suppliers with interests in the NWT’s arts sector.
The need for an interactive online system promoting e-commerce for NWT-produced
arts and fine crafts and a community-networking database for artists and the
arts industry in the NWT were both identified in the NWT Arts Strategy,
released in 2004.
The NWT Arts and Fine Crafts Database contains facts and images about artists
and arts organizations within the NWT that have chosen to share information
about themselves. This information is available to everyone who visits the
site, helping to strengthen the northern arts community and promote northern
arts locally and globally.
